Great Grey Shrike, 1cy. 9.10.2010, Bovet Bugt, Læsø, Denmark

Is this plumage within the variation of a first winter Great Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor excubitor) or is it an intergrade of some kind? Could it just be a moult retarded excubitor?
